Zeitgeist

For me, games from the past have always intrigued me. Technology as a whole is something that is amazing to me. The stories of hackers and computer scientists pushing a machine with virtually no power to it's absolute limits, just for the sake of making or improving a game, is just incredible.
I try to invoke those sorts of nostalgic feelings in my work where I can. Hence the name "Zeitgeist". It literally translates to "spirit of the time" and it's something quite personal to me.
From Doom Mapping in High school to the early days of learning C# and Unity in College, all the way up to now (heading into my second year at University), I'm always wanting to learn more. More about old games/ technology, more about new programming techniques, more about how to best utilise the Engine at my disposal and more about how to design a great game.
About Me
Hi, I'm Jacob, I more regularly go by my online name "Zeitgeist Software".
I'm 19 years old and currently attending University for "Computer Games Design and Programming".
I've been playing games for a really long time. It's a bit cliche to say "I've been playing games for as long as I can remember" but I genuinely have. Since I was about 4 or 5, my Dad has been showing me games, new and especially old, starting all the way back with Quake II and Half Life 2 and later the Minecraft Betas and Alphas (I may have been little but I still remember survival without any hunger bar in it).
